Brief
Day-rate consultancy and FTC
Call-off days, or a fixed-term contract when a few days a month is not enough.
A retainer of two to eight days a month is the usual shape. It is not always the right one. Parental cover, a vacant FD, a PE 100-day plan, an ERP cutover or a live transaction sometimes needs the principal in the building three to five days a week for a defined term.
Day-rate consultancy is the call-off version: a costing rebuild, a bank pack, a month-end rescue, a board paper. Minimum half day. FTC is the same person, contracted as a limited-company supplier, typically three to twelve months. IR35 status is for your advisors to determine.
Cover, a deal window, or a bridge — without a permanent hire you do not yet want.
