Stationery
Documents for the work, with the mark on them.
Word files. Edit the brackets, then send. The rate card and the one-page profile can go out as they are.
Rate card
Send as it stands. Indicative 2026 rates. The letter is still the price.
Practice profile
One page. Safe to forward. No client names.
Letter of engagement
Sign before anything chargeable. Have it read. Company number goes in once Companies House confirms it.
Statement of work
Scope, deliverables, dates and the fee for one piece of work. Sits under the letter.
Variation
Scope, date or fee changes. Sign it before the extra work starts.
Invoice
Company number, registered office and Wise account are on it. Confirm VAT before the first one goes out.
Day log
Attach to the invoice. The month should be obvious without a chase.
Company number, registered office and the Wise account are on the invoice. VAT is still blank. Do not send an invoice until that line is confirmed. The letter is a template, not a solicitor’s draft.
